It's Monday! What are you Reading? (oct. 3)

It’s Monday, what are you reading? is hosted by Sheila over at Book Journey.

I think my reading is picking up again. It feels great. I realized I need to read more, or I feel a real void. I missed that feeling of having a great book on the go, and being obsessed with it until that last page (and even for a while afterward).

Since I posted I have finished Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern, and The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong. They were all good in their own ways (but very different). Fight club is still sitting with me. Not sure what to think, but it was a ride to take. It was interesting going in, knowing nothing about it.

Right now I am reading A Charmed Death by Madelyn Alt. It is a cozy mystery, with the twist being that the main character is a witch, who is just learning about her powers. This is the second in the series. I am also slowly working on The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. I don’t think I am far enough into it to comment, but I will say that so far, it's not quite what I thought it would be. (but that isn't taking away from my enjoyment.)

I receive an ARC in the mail today, so I am hoping to start on the one this afternoon. It looks like a great read. And next on my bed stand (I hope I will have time to get to it this week) is Case Histories by Kate Atkinson. This looks like an interesting read. I can't wait to get to it.

What can't you wait to read this week, or looks so good, you are trying to rush to get to it?

If you want to play too, go to Sheila’s page and leave your link there, but also please let me know so I can come visit. Thx =D

I wanted to read The Happiness Project...I will have to see what you think of it.
I'm going to be starting The Submission tonight.

I have been meaning to read Case Histories for some time, but I never seem to get to it.

Thanks for the visit and comment - I read The Giver and really liked it - it's a quick read, a YA book I think, and a little different take on the lack of individuality in the future. The Giver is the person 'giving' the generations of memories and feelings to the 13 year old selected as his successor. It's interesting to read the value of "sameness" and the rationale for eliminating individuality.... - I wrote a review on my site: www.relax-and-read.blogspot.com

Lori- I think I may have to keep an eye on you... add to my reading list. :) I would have to say Carl Edwards, but I do cheer for J.Gordon too... Loving the chase this year with the new points...

Lindsey- I will let you know. I think I will enjoy it, but it's probably one I will do a chapter every once in a while.

Reader- Should we do a group read? we could motivate each other :)

Terrie- It sounds like one I am going to have to put higher on my bed-stand pile.

Thanks guys for coming by. I hope you all have a great reading week =D
