Why did I pick this book?: love rubber stamping and caught my attention at the library.
Summary and Review: taken from goodreads-
“Halloween is scarier than ever in Aldenville, Pennsylvania, when professional rubber stamper April Buchert discovers a dead body in a “haunted” corn maze. The police suspect the victim’s husband murdered her, but April knew the couple, and she and the Stamping Sisters are determined to find the real killer before he catches another in his murderous motif.”
This book was a great cozy mystery. I like the idea of a stamping mystery, but I have to admit, I am getting a little tired of craft theme books (interior design, knitting, cooking, decoupage, ect). This one was well written, with clues dropped, but I still guessed the bad guy. I like mysteries that drop clues you can follow to guess who you think done it. I know this is going to sound a little weird, but I like when a mystery ends in a happy ending. But I guess that is why I mostly enjoy cozies. Enough said. One final note, as much as I enjoyed this book while I was reading it, it was not that memorable. It was only about a month ago I read it (I know, bad blogger, I am really behind. But my goal IS to catch up), but I had to sit and think to remember it to write about it today. I guess, keep that in mind when thinking of reading, pleasurable but not memorable. Would definitely like to read more in the series one day. =D
Agree? Disagree? Recommendations? Any insights, suggestions, or comments on the book or format, or blog at all are most welcome. If you have read this and/ or review it yourself, please let me know. Can you think of any books like this? Give me a recommendation! =D
