Read a thon

I have done it. I have decided to take part in the 24-hour read-a-thon this Saturday. The first one I wanted to, but I chicken out and watched. The next couple I missed. This one I’m in for whole hog. You can watch my progress here, or join me HERE. I think I have talked DH in to doing it with me. You can watch his progress here.

I plan on reading some of the stuff that is on my side board (a lot of which I feel like I have been reading for ever) a couple ARC’s, and a couple library books. Other then that, I will delve into my TBR pile, and see if I can at least get started on a couple challenge books I have been putting off for library reading. See how far I get on what.

Right now my thoughts are:

Breaking Dawn- Stephenie Meyer (library, challenge)

Dracula- Bram Stoker (started)

A Horse and His Boy- C.S. Lewis (started)

Hot Blooded- Lisa Jackson (started, challenge)

How I Write- Janet Evanovich (started)

Obedience- Lavender (audio) ???

Selling Used Books Online- Stephen Windwalker (started)

Specials- Scott Westerfeld (challenge)

Never Tell a Lie- Hallie Ephron (Library)

Middle Sex- Jeffrey Eugenides (challenge)

The Time Traveller’s Wife- Audrey Niffenegger (challenge)

Falling Awake- Jayne Ann Krentz (challenge)

Darkfever- Karen Marie Moning (challenge)

Chocolate Bridal Bash- Joanna Carl (challenge)

Yes, these will probably change a lot between now and Saturday. I know I won’t read them all. I do hope to finish a couple I have started, and start a couple more. I will try and update what I have read, and how much of it every hour or two. It will be interesting to me, because I have never really timed how much I read, or how fast, and have never been a huge marathon reader, so I am looking forward to this experiment. Please feel free to drop by and visit (and comment if you like) throughout the day. Oh, and please send coffee… ;D

Edited to Add-

How Sweet it is- Alice J. Wisler (ARC)

Beat the Reaper- Josh Bazell (library)

starting to feel in over my head. anybody have some good advice for a first timer?

Remember to have fun, add some short books to the stack, and make sure to have lots of snacks available. Good luck tomorrow.

One more thing: naps are your friend! =)
